Cedar Point: Mudroom

Inside Cedar Point, a whole-home organizing project inside a coastal Connecticut home.

TOUR CEDAR POINT

When we first visited the Cedar Point Project, it had recently underwent a renovation and, lucky for us, storage had been thoughtfully considered and implemented in every room;

but the aspects that make a space truly organized— like space planning, layout, systems and the supportive materials— were missing.

In the mudroom, we worked on three supremely functional areas:
Alcove- Custom mats were added to shelves for shoe storage; as well as palm leaf bins for accessories and extra shoes. Cleat-style hooks had been previously hung for bags, hats and coat storage.
Closets- The left closet was dedicated to outdoor activities (pickle ball, pool, golf, gardening, etc); we relocated the cleaning supplies to another space, and added shelves to match. The right closet was dedicated to the pets (feeding, supplements, treats, toys, etc). Durable fluted coastal blue bins uniformly fit on both sets of shelving.
Bench- Neatly folded towels fit into the trio of drawers for quick grab when needed.
