Stone Post: Kitchen
Inside the Stone Post Project, a whole-home organizing project inside a converted barn in the Connecticut countryside.
Before a single organizing material is selected, the layout of the kitchen is determined— arguably the more important and impactful step in organizational design. There is no formula or one-size-fits-all approach; every single space is custom planned taking into account existing cabinetry, appliance placement, supply categories and corresponding quantities. When this step is done correctly, even small kitchens can function efficiently and optimally (even more so you are committed to operating without excess). Once the layout of the Stone Post Project’s kitchen was set, we designed, built and installed numerous custom drawer and cabinet inserts, including vertical dividers for pans and boards and several interior cabinet drawers for better accessibility, even turning one cabinet into a functional pantry.
