Sill: Kid’s Room

Inside the Sill Project, a comprehensive whole-home organizing project with modern flair.

When designing a kids’ room, it’s an opportunity to create a space where imaginations can run wild, they feel safe and their personalities shine. But more functionally, storage must be mighty. Kids have lots of stuff, so having somewhere to store everything is key; from storage pieces themselves, like shelving and cabinetry, to boxes and baskets that help contain the clutter.

We overhauled the storage situation in this girl’s room at the Sill Project, designing, building and installing these oak shelving systems on either side of her desk— she came home from summer camp to this special room makeover surprise.
